Fees:

  • Adult Site Fee: $20
  • Adult Member Discount: $10
  • Children 6-17: $5 (younger children free)
  • Merchants: no extra fee (we have tables for indoors)
  • Tent Camping: free (Friday night to Sunday morning)
  • Electrical Camping: $15/night (six sites, contact the event steward to reserve
    • claimed so far (S&S, St, V&K, Sh?)
  • Inns: free-will donation
  • Feast: $10 (at least 40 seats)
  • Cash or checks, no credit cards

This is a DRY site (liquor license issues).

  • Leashed pets welcome, but OUTSIDE only.
  • Unfortunately, there are no showers on-site
  • Above-ground fires permitted

Tentative Schedule (full schedule below):

  • Friday afternoon – unofficially opens for set-up and camping
  • Saturday 8:30 am – Breakfast Inn
  • 9 am – Troll/Gate opens
  • 10 am – most activities start
  • 11:30 am – Lunch Inn opens
  • 3:30 pm – A&S Competitions judged
  • 4:30 pm – final bids for Silent Auction
  • 7 pm – Feast
  • Sunday – Brunch Inn, tear down/clean up

    • Unfortunately, the Gobbler’s Roost in Grafton had to close.
    • The Carpenter Bar & Grill (416 William St, Carpenter, IA 50426) isn’t too far away.
    • Northwood (The Slice Pizzeria), Osage (multiple options), & Mitchell (Old County Seat Bar & Grill) are all approximately 19 – 20 minutes from Grafton.
    • Places to eat in Mason City are closer to 30 minutes away.

    • Largesse Derby – Every entrant makes at least 6 “identical” items of largesse. After judging, the winner gets one of every entry. Then every other entrant can pick a single entry to keep.     • Hedgehog in any Medium. Sponsored by Juliana. (Won by Zaneta Baseggio.)
  • Classes:
    • Saturday 10 am-noon: Warp Your Box Loom: Bring your own box loom, tablets or heddle, and yarn to learn how to warp it up correctly for your projects. Rebeca la Chienne will bring a couple different options for measuring your warps to the appropriate length, but if you have a board or peg, please bring it with you.
    • Afternoon: Holding Your Blade. How to properly hold common one-handled Cut and Thrust swords. The instructor, Ronan Rohan will provide all materials and there is no cost.

  • Friday – Movie Trivia Throw – 7pm to 9pm: test of movie knowledge and axe throwing. Popcorn, candy and prizes.

  • 9 am- Range open
  • 9-12 Open throwing
  • 12-1 Lunch break
  • 1-2 Open throwing
  • 2-4 Don’t Wake the Dragon (prize?)
  • All day drop-in tournament any time the range is open: 6 axes & 6 knives for score. Top score wins a set of 3 plumbatas (alternate prize if under 18 years old)

  • Sunday- Um, no. Fun’s over. You go home now.
