Attending: Randall, Stasi, Juliana, Avelyn, Brigida, Rune, Tatiana, Sifrid, Sofya, Brighid, Gwyn, Gobban
Web Minister: we have a website.
Heralds: we have names, and heraldry.
Chatelaine: no new recruiting events, got to give a brochure to a guy at Hy-Vee who expressed interest
Chronicler: he’s still collecting articles.
A&S Minister: she’s going to be gone this month, so we’ll have to amuse ourselves at the meeting. She’s working on getting the wood from Stasis for the woodworking projects for this summer – Saturdays at Brighid’s house by arrangement. So maybe social projects/event prep at the A&S meeting.
Archery: we have bows and arrows. We had archery practice last month.
Exchequer: we have money. We need the deposit for Grafton.
Seneschal: with Lilies, we’ll have a combined Business/A&S meeting the 4th Wednesday of June. She notes that she’s in her third year as seneschal and doesn’t know if she’ll be extended. So she’ll probably need a replacement.
St. Augustine’s Faire:
- Esther promises to help.
- A&S competition: hedgehog in any medium (Juliana sponsor). Largesse Derby.
- Kite-making project area (Brigida to monitor, get handouts).
- Dusk throw (Avelyn).
- Brigida to check if the Kingdom has made a FB event for us yet
- Brighid coordinating merchants, monitor Silent Auction, recruit classes. Would like a class on award recs (how do you know what someone deserves? what they already have?). Court protocol & etiquette (to kneel or not to kneel, etc.) Regalia and titles?
- Randall overseeing Inn, recruiting a couple of soux chefs
- Sifrid will be at Troll and will need a second body.
- Rune is being tempted to do MoY stuff.
- Working on ideas for site and feast tokens. Juliana has some little silicone knife and axe molds? Sheri’s miniature crossbows? Trebuchet ammunition (bean “bags”, etc.)
- Stasi has a chicken dish and a pork dish picked. Lambert’s throwed rolls. Fruits and cheese on the table. She wants little dessert bites: mini tarts, etc.
Queen’s Prize 2026:
- We got the bid! So that will be in April.
- Brigida will officially reserve/deposit the site.
- There was some interesting communication behind the scenes.
- The flyer needs to be into the Kingdom 3 months before the event (end of December).
- There needs to be a place to fight. Brigida has talked to Johan so we will get the list field from him, and we need to come up with marshals.
- There need to be children’s activities, so we’ll need to find a MoY and a two-deep. Rune is intrigued.
- We need to have ePay for both pre-reg and on-site, so Gate will be more complicated.
- Runza parties at the Methodist Church, since that has been coming up.
- Stasi hall coordinator.
- So St. Augustine’s will be an UN-Faire next year.
